Anger Scriptures
It is a sin not to control your sinful anger
Col. 3:8 - "But now ye also put off' all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy,
filthy communication out of your mouth."
God has given you spiritual weapons to help you control your anger
II Cor. 10:4-5 - "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty
through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) (5) Casting down imaginations,
and every high thing that exa!teth itself against the knowledge of God, and
bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
Through Christ you can change
Phil. 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Resolve to manage it
Prov. 19:11 - "The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory
to pass over a transgression."
The Cost of uncontrolled anger
Prov. 1 1:29 - "He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the
fool shall be servant to the wise of heart."
Remember how short this life is
Prov. 27:1 - "Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day
may bring forth."
James 4:14 - "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your
life'? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth
away."
Pre-program your mind so you will react the way that Christ would want you to
react
Phil. 2:5 - "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:"
Jesus wants you to love your enemies
Mt. 5:44 - "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do
good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you;"
Try. to see the other person's point of view
Prov. 18:13 - "He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and
shame unto him."
Jn. 7:51 - "Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he
doeth?"
Stop the quarrel before it gets out of control
Pray. 17:14 - "The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water:
therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with."
Learn to lower your voice when you get angry
Pray. 15:1 - "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up
anger."
Realize that your anger is contagious

What can an angry- response accomplish?
Prov. 18:21 - "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love
it shall eat the fruit thereof."
Learn to put others first
Phil. 2:3-4 - "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness
of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. (4) Look not every man on
his own things, but every man also on the things of others."
Realize that in this life you will have problems
Job 5:7 - "Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward."
Other good advise:
Allow yourself or the person time to cool off.
